Have a horse suffering with uveitis, with pink skin, or pale eyes, or just looking to provide the most comprehensive protection available, the UViator is the mask for you!

Developed under the premise that “if you need sunglasses, your horse needs them too,” the UViator is constructed with Kensington’s newest high UV blocking Textilene®, Solar Screen, that provides 90% UV blocking while maintaining a 78% air permeability and visibility rating.

Not just for summertime, these masks are perfect for use year-round to eliminate the harsh reflections that bounce off wet or snowy surfaces. Additionally, their streamlined fit allows them to easily be used with the bridle for horses that truly require 24/7 protection.

The CatchMask® style offers both a fly mask and halter in one – simply snap a lead rope through the double locking throat closure and this mask can be used as a halter, providing all the strength needed to control your horse. This streamlines turn in and turn out routines for handlers, while the soft fleece lined inside ensures all-day horse comfort. This model features soft mesh ears and a removable nose to provide even more comprehensive protection.

Manufactured of US, Alabama made 1000 x 2000 Denier Textilene® fabric, which is specially formulated to withstand fading, fire, mildew, soiling and wear and tear, even in the most extreme weather conditions.

Note: UViators may need to be sized up when compared to our regular masks, as their design is slightly different. Please be sure to consult the size chart in the image gallery.

Great all around mask and avoids needing a halter

I bought this catchmask for my mare that is a headshaker and she has caught several halters on the bottom of fence panels since they like to rub their noses on the ground. The uv protection also makes her much more comfortable . Being a pasture pet the catchmask gives me something to clip onto and I don’t have to worry about getting a halter on her too.

UViator catchmask with ears, nose and forelock opening

Great fit and seems like it will hold up well. Nose is long enough but not too long like others I've tried.

UViator CatchMask w/Ears & Removable Nose & Forelock opening

I absolutely love your products. My entire tack shed is full of Kensington products for my horses. They’re my favorite! However, I am disappointed that I am finding it harder and harder to find anything in deluxe red, especially on the Kensington website. I’ve spent a small fortune for that color for my horse. My horse looks GREAT in it and I like everything to match. I have everything from bell boots/fly boots to fly masks/fly sheets and winter blanks. Not to mention hats for myself! Is deluxe red going to be discontinued? I hope not!!!!

Fabulous for Long wearing

I have been using these Uviator masks exclusively for my senior paint gelding for over 5 years. My horse has a nearly white bald face and had cancer removed from his eyelid more than once. The Uviator has protected his face, his eye and nose from sunburn, all year long. Winter sun reflecting on the snow can cause as much damage as the summer sun.
This mask stays on! As a full time pasture boarded horse, the gelding wears his mask all day and night and will wear it out around the edges before he will ever get it off his face.
