1200D 300G Heavy Weight Waterproof & Breathable Winter Mini Turnout Blanket

I have 3 mini's and was in need of coats in the middle of below freezing temps. These high quality coats arrived really quickly! The 2 boys in the pics are wearing size 46 and I have purchased another, through a vendor, that is a 50 for my 3rd mini (he's a big bigger). The 46's seem to fit the boys really well! There isn't a size between the 46 and the 50 but these seem to work just fine. They've stayed warm and dry through the cold snap!

These are great blankets. We are first time mini owners and I was not used to Velcro on blankets, but it seems to hold up well. I bought this blanket after buying the similar 80g version which I have really liked. On this blanket I noticed the belly band is a little smaller (this is actually good as I had to trim down the Velcro on the 80g version) and the leg straps don’t reach. I took one leg strep off and turned the other I nto a tail cord for the time being. But overall it is a snug and comfy option for our little guy. (34” mini in a 46” blanket).

I have 2 minis, one 28” short legged, chunky boy; one 31” longer but refined 11/2 yr old mare. Size 42” fits both. I was having a heck of a time fitting my short legged “fat man” gelding, all blankets were too long on him, covered his knees. From an online photo, I saw the Kensington brand and how the cut appeared shorter on the mini model in a pic. So I ordered 2 mid-weight turnouts and they fit both horses great. Then we had a crazy cold snap storm come through the eastern part of the country. When I saw what was on its way, I quickly ordered heavy weight, turned outs. I also just ordered neck covers and rain sheets! I would say I’m a bit addicted but justify my purchases, because these are a great investment. They are fantastic! It’s so nice to have blankets that fit well, our really, really good quality, and keep my horses nice and warm, and dry.

Bitter cold weather with subzero windchill was predicted in Indiana just before Christmas. We thought we should probably protect our two miniature donkeys so we began looking online for coats. We found Kensington. They were the only ones we found who made heavy duty blankets for miniatures and had them available. Other companies were out of stock. Kensington’s website gave us instructions on how to measure our donkeys to get the right size. Their recommendation to add 6” to the chest to tail measurement was accurate. The coats fit perfectly. We were nervous that the coats wouldn’t arrive before the predicted storm because we had waited so late to order them. However, the Fed-Ex truck arrived the morning of the storm just in time to wrap up Sylvester and Walter. We were elated! The coats were very easy to put on and they kept our guys warm. My husband put his hands under their coats when we were out feeding them and he couldn’t believe the warmth he felt! Thanks, Kensington, for making such a nice product for our donkeys and for having a fast delivery service. We greatly appreciated being able to care for our donkeys well!!
