$79.99

Have a horse suffering with uveitis, with pink skin, or pale eyes, or just looking to provide the most comprehensive protection available, the UViator is the mask for you!

Developed under the premise that “if you need sunglasses, your horse needs them too,” the UViator is constructed with Kensington’s newest high UV blocking Textilene®, Solar Screen, that provides 90% UV blocking while maintaining a 78% air permeability and visibility rating.

Not just for summertime, these masks are perfect for use year-round to eliminate the harsh reflections that bounce off wet or snowy surfaces. Additionally, their streamlined fit allows them to easily be used with the bridle for horses that truly require 24/7 protection.

The CatchMask® style offers both a fly mask and halter in one – simply snap a lead rope through the double locking throat closure and this mask can be used as a halter, providing all the strength needed to control your horse. This streamlines turn in and turn out routines for handlers, while the soft fleece lined inside ensures all-day horse comfort.

Manufactured of US, Alabama made 1000 x 2000 Denier Textilene® fabric, which is specially formulated to withstand fading, fire, mildew, soiling and wear and tear, even in the most extreme weather conditions.

Note: UViators may need to be sized up when compared to our regular masks, as their design is slightly different. Please be sure to consult the size chart in the image gallery.

Nice compromise for horse with chronic euvitis

Horse seems fine in it. Better UV blockage than other masks and a good compromise from the mask that I had blocked out for an "eye patch" for him.
I read reviews where people complained that the mask is too stiff and wrinkled in the wrong places from shipping. This is easily solved by putting it in the dryer for a few minutes. I took it out of dryer and attached it around a pillow - it cooled down fine and with the proper form for the horse.
The only downside is that I think it's a bit stiff on the horse which makes him itchy. My guy has been wearing other masks constantly for a year and a half, and he's never been so itchy as he is with this one. The others had the fluff at poll and nose, this one doesn't and it seems to bug him a bit. Maybe it's just to firm right now, hoping it will soften up a bit.

Great product

Works great, looks great. I can tell my horse is much more comfortable with it on.

Fabric is too stiff

I am returning this mask because I did not want the catch feature built into the mask and I found the material used too harsh and abrasive for me to expect my horse to be comfortable in it.

Product good, packaged bad

This is the second eye mask I have ordered for my horse with uveitis. This was was folded with so many creases I had to cram a pillow in it and leave it for days to get the creases out. The folds would touch her eyes. The first mask did not do that. The product I would give 5 star. The way it’s packaged I would give 1 star.
