✅ Supports Behavioral & Physical Health – Reducing meal-time anxiety, promoting better digestion, lowering the risk of colic, and helping curb vices like weaving and pacing.

✅ Best-Selling Size – Our Day Net holds approximately 4 flakes or up to 30 lbs of hay, making it the most popular choice among horse owners.

✅ Effortless Use – The roomy opening makes loading quick and easy, while the large carabiner ensures simple hanging in various feeding setups.

Available in Three Mesh Sizes:

✅ FF-D1 – 1" Mesh Openings – Designed for smaller grazing animals. We recommend starting with 1.5” mesh before transitioning to 1” for extra slow feeding.

✅ FF-D1.5 – 1.5" Mesh OpeningsThe optimal size for most horses, effectively slowing hay consumption to mimic natural grazing.

✅ FF-D2 – 2" Mesh Openings – Ideal for aggressive eaters and larger horses. You may choose to transition down to a smaller mesh size over time.

Looking for a Different Size?

✅ Need More Capacity? Check out our Extended Day Net or Full Bale Net.

✅ Need a Smaller or Travel Option? Check out our Trailer-Mini Net.

✅ Pairs effortlessly with our Freedom Feeder Frame for a secure and convenient feeding solution.

Important Note:

When introducing your horse to free-choice feeding, they may initially consume hay quickly. Once they trust they will always have access to forage, their intake will naturally regulate, and the net will require daily refilling, typically lasting an average horse 24 hours between fills.

Finally something that slows my horse down!

These hay nets are amazing. My guy is a voracious eater. These nets have slowed him down and often he gets so frustrated that he actually stops eating. This has never happened before. My only wish is that they were made with very thick cotton! My guys rips a hole in them about once every two months. And no repair kit with hold it. I would gladly pay double the price for a thick cotton 1 inch day feeder hay net!!!!!

The only way I feed my horse

I love my nets. I just wish there was a better way to close them. The red drawstring does wear out.

As long as I own horses, I will use slow feeders.

And the best slow feeders are those made by Kensington. They are sturdy and easy to fill. I use the 1.5 inch feeders for my Appaloosa and the 1 inch feeders for my easy keeper paso fino.

Won’t feed hay any other way

I’ve been using slow-feeder hay nets for almost 10 years. I started with feeding insulin resistant horses (1 inch openings) and over the years I’ve been using them for feeding all my horses (1-1/2 inch openings). Saves hay and keeps the horses occupied. The Freedom Feeders are the most durable of all the hay nets I have used.

Original Slow Feeder on the market and it has a Lifetime Warranty!

Freedom Feeder nets are so soft yet incredibly durable. Mine last on average 5 years! They hold up when others don't PLUS you get a lifetime warranty like other Kensington Products. So many other companies have increased their prices and cheapened their products but Freedom Feeder has been the same since 2007. A quality product worth every penny.
